Webmaster Notes
About this Resume

Joni Winston

This resume design was created by using a repeated tiled background file (Classic Golden Beige), an HTML frame, and a custom designed client name. The neutral colors are appropriate for just about any job seeker.

Note the following:

  • Name Graphic: The name was created in Photoshop using all lower case letters and the typestyle Socket. The black drop shadow behind the letters makes the type look more 3-dimensional.

  • Border: The border effect around the resume was created with a specially designed HTML table with an 8-point two-toned border. For this design, we selected a nice shade of Hunter Green (#006666). A white background inside the border provides maximum contrast.

  • Type: Standard HTML/web-safe fonts were used. Verdana size 2 was used for body text and resume category headings are Verdana size 4.
  • Other Features: Note the three-bullet design: ...
This design was created with three periods (7 point Verdana), with one space between each period. The type is white and a small table provides control over bullet placement within the table.
  • Navigation: This Web resume uses hyperlinks for e-mail and to provide access to an ASCII resume for employers who want a copy for database input.

  • E-mail: The job-specific e-mail reinforces the job target and is easy to remember.
